Full-Time Payroll/Benefits Generalist
Job Description
Premier Talent Partners is looking for highly motivated and organized individuals for a temp-to-perm Payroll/Benefits Generalist to join our San Francisco, CA Tech client’s team! If you have 3 to 4 years of experience processing payroll and supporting benefits in the tech space, please consider applying!
Responsibilities:
- Process and ensure the accuracy of our bi-weekly US payroll
- Review and process contributions related to FSA, 401k, and HAS
- Assist with payroll compliance matters such as setting up state tax withholding
- Field general payroll questions, and serve as the liaison for answering complex payroll and benefits related questions
- Create detailed payroll reporting for finance and management
- Assist with external audits (financial statements, 401K, workers compensation) by providing supporting records and documentation
- Maintain payroll system by managing and auditing data from various sources (including, but not limited to: benefit enrollment systems, retirement portals, COBRA, etc.)
- Receive and reconcile US benefit invoices for timely submission to the Finance Team
- Assist with coordinating benefits meetings and communications
- Partner with People Ops to ensure accurate processing of new hires and terminations
- Ensure the successful onboarding of new hires
- Complete employment verifications
- Assist in the administration of the annual merit and mid-year review cycles
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of recent payroll and benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll protocols particularly with IRS regulations, Federal, State, and local tax laws
- Must be able to maintain confidential data with a strong sense of professional integrity
- High attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Adaptable to a fast-changing and flexible work environment
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and autonomously
- Must be very resourceful and extremely customer service driven
- Software skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel
