Job Summary:
Hands-on Cloud Architect needed to lead OCTO’s Azure-first multi-cloud environment, supporting secure cloud design, Terraform-based infrastructure, cloud migrations, and AVD oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and govern secure Azure environments
- Deliver infrastructure using Terraform and support CI/CD
- Lead migration of on-prem workloads to Azure
- Oversee AVD architecture and support AWS operations
- Maintain cloud standards, security, documentation, and runbooks
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with agency and security teams
Required Skills and Certification:
- 8+ years in infrastructure engineering with 5+ years in Microsoft Azure
- 5+ years of production Terraform experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure migrations, and technical leadership
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
- AZ-305 certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
Preferred Skills and Certification:
- Experience with AWS, AVD, and Nerdio
- Familiarity with NIST, CJIS, or FedRAMP
- Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Associate and Terraform Associate
