Job Description
Heanton Nursing Home is set in the peaceful village of Heanton Punchardon, close to Braunton and Barnstaple. The home sits beside a historic church and charming thatched cottages, nestled within a traditional village setting. Heanton specialises in supporting adults with complex nursing needs, including dementia and other neurocognitive disorders.
As an Administrator at Heanton, you will become a key part of the home’s daily life, working alongside the Home Manager, existing Administrator and wider team. You’ll build positive relationships with relatives, visitors, professionals and the people living at the home, playing an important role in creating a warm and welcoming environment. This is a role where your organisation, warmth and people skills will be genuinely valued, with opportunities to grow and develop as part of a well-established care provider.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Home Manager with a full range of administrative and reception responsibilities to support the day-to-day running of the home.
Act as the first point of contact providing a friendly, warm and welcoming experience to relatives, visitors, professionals and team members.
Support the planning and organisation of events within the home, including milestone celebrations, fetes, team presentations and activities.
Work closely with the team to help create a positive and engaging environment for people living at the home.
Document control
Maintain accurate records and support compliance with home policies and procedures.
Scheduling meetings and attend Team meetings
Supporting part of the recruitment process, staff file compliance
Annual leave management
Collating payroll information
Place purchase orders
Maintaining petty cash
Attend quarterly meetings and training at Head Office (transport arranged)
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years administration experience required
Strong communication and organisational skills
Friendly, confident and customer-focused
An appreciation of need for confidentiality
Empathetic and caring nature
Good IT skills
