We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities

Handling materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse
Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively (training provided)
Managing stock levels using warehouse management systems to track inventory accurately
Picking and packing orders with precision to meet customer requirements
Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
Stocking shelves and organising storage areas for optimal accessibility and safety
Conducting quality control checks to maintain product standards
Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during daily operations

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures
Experience operating forklifts or willingness to undertake forklift training (certification preferred)
Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Mechanical knowledge or aptitude is a plus for equipment maintenance tasks
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order fulfilment
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Flexibility to work shifts as required, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
