Temporary Digital Project Manager

Planned Parenthood Federation of America – Posted by welcomeppfa Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Job Description

Planned Parenthood is the nation’s leading provider and advocate of high-quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health care for all people, as well as the nation’s largest provider of sex education. Planned Parenthood organizations serve all people with care and compassion, with respect, and without judgment, striving to create equitable access to health care. Through health centers, programs in schools and communities, and online resources, Planned Parenthood is a trusted source of reliable education and information that allows people to make informed health decisions. We do all this because we care passionately about helping people lead healthier lives.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates, which operate non-profit health centers across the U.S. PPFA also works to educate the public on and advocate for issues of sexual and reproductive health. Formed as the advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood Action Fund is a separate non-profit membership organization tax-exempt under section 501(c)(4). The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and limited electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education in furtherance of the Planned Parenthood mission. Committed to electing candidates who are steadfast in their support for sexual and reproductive health and rights in furtherance of the Action Fund’s mission, Planned Parenthood Votes (PPVotes), an independent expenditure committee (SuperPAC) registered with the Federal Election Commission, conducts independent expenditures in federal races, and engages in state elections as permitted by state campaign finance laws.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (Action Fund) seek a Digital Project Manager to provide operational, administrative, and project management support for content team campaign work across PPFA (C3) and Action Fund (C4) channels. This job reports to the Director, Social Media, Advocacy in the Content, Culture, and Events department. The Content and Culture team carries out Planned Parenthood’s strategy to increase the visibility and utility of Planned Parenthood by creating medically accurate, engaging content and executing interdepartmental online campaigns, as well as fighting back against political or administrative attacks on our health care or the services Planned Parenthood health centers provide.
This role is expected to begin in February 2026 and end in December 2026.

Purpose:

    • The Digital Project Manager will provide operational, administrative, and project management support for content team campaign work across C3 and C4 channels. As the election cycle intensifies, this role will support Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA),  Planned Parenthood Action Fund (Action Fund), Planned Parenthood PAC (PPACT) and Planned Parenthood Votes’ (PPV) federal and state electoral campaign content workstreams. This person will serve as the connective tissue across Action Fund and teams—ensuring that projects are organized, compliant, and strategically aligned from concept through execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments and is passionate about social change.

Engagement:

    • Serve as a key liaison between internal departments, partners, and external vendors, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across workstreams.
    • Partner with leadership to prioritize projects, clarify needs, and anticipate potential challenges or breakdowns.
    • Facilitate collaboration across cross-departmental collaborators to manage campaign activities, track expenditures, and communicate updates.
    • Convene team check-ins and debriefs to assess progress, gather input, and realign priorities as needed.
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships across teams and vendors to support shared goals and ensure program accountability.

Delivery:

    • Manage the full lifecycle of PPFA and Action Fund’s digital projects and Action Fund and PPV’s electoral projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and workflows are clearly defined, aligned, and executed efficiently.
    • Drive cohesive, strategic storytelling across digital and social assets, campaigns, and paid tactics.
    • Serve as the owner of project management systems (e.g., Asana, Google Workspaces, etc.) to organize content workflows, track progress, and ensure accountability.
    • Coordinate vendor relationships, including contracts, budgets, invoices, and compliance tracking.
    • Lead documentation processes—tracking deliverables, approvals, and expenditures across teams and entities.
    • Maintain quality control by ensuring review processes and reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
    • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to manage campaign reporting and external filing requirements.
    • Prepare and manage meeting agendas, take notes, and follow up on key action items to ensure momentum and clarity.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

    • 3–5 years of related professional experience in project management, social media, digital production, campaigns, or organizing required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
    • Strong understanding of digital content workflows, creative production, and campaign operations.
    • Experience with budget management, vendor contracting, invoice processing, and compliance coordination.
    • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Skilled at developing and maintaining systems that increase efficiency and accountability across teams.
    • Collaborative, adaptable, and able to manage up and across functions.
    • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure or rapid-response moments.
    • Commitment to reproductive rights, equity, and social change.
Salary: $87,000 – $90,000 a year
