Job Description
Healthier Colorado, Colorado’s leading public health advocacy organization, seeks an exceptional leader to direct our Colorado operations as we expand into a multi-state network.
The Opportunity
Lead a well-resourced advocacy powerhouse with a $15 million endowment, a dedicated 15-person team, and unmatched influence at Colorado’s Capitol. Oversee legislative advocacy, coalition building, campaign management, and fundraising while steering our strategic direction. This role offers real autonomy, financial stability, and the chance to make measurable impact on the health of all Coloradans.
What We Need
- 7-10 years progressive leadership experience in campaigns, nonprofit management, or government relations
- At least 5 years working directly in Colorado politics/policy with deep knowledge of our state legislature
- Proven team builder and mentor with strong staff management skills
- Excellent communicator comfortable with media, public speaking, and donor relations
- Experience managing budgets $1M+, fundraising, and navigating 501(c)(3)/(c)(4) compliance
Deep health policy expertise preferred but not required—political savvy and Colorado connections are essential.
