Description:

Position Summary
The Visiting Research Specialist provides expert level oversight and management of maternal child health projects. This position coordinates maternal health, child health and behavioral health efforts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate research project activities.
  • Supervision of staff participating in related projects.
  • Organize training and community engagement data; assist with data analysis and contribute to writing of scientific manuscripts and/or grant proposals.
  • Collect research data and synthesize findings.
  • Provide oversight of IRB compliance and submit required IRB materials as needed.
  • Provide data for correspondence with the funding agency including the submission of progress reports and updates on project reporting.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop outreach, implement protocols, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Other related research study duties as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public health, or a related health science field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
  • Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
