Compensation range: $145,000 – 170,000 USD annually

We’re looking for a passionate and talented Infrastructure Security Engineer to join the DistroKid ensemble. As a key player in our security band, you’ll be the guardian of our cloud-native infrastructure and distributed end-user devices, ensuring that our musical community can create and distribute their art safely. 🎶
Key Responsibilities 🎧
🎹Security Solutions Implementation: Design and implement security solutions to protect IT infrastructure, including Endpoint Protection, Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), log collection pipelines, firewalls, VPN, and network access control.
🎹Security Monitoring and Threat Analysis: Monitor IT infrastructure for security events, threats, and vulnerabilities. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential risks.
🎹Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents and breaches. Develop and maintain an incident response plan and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during security incidents.
🎹Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure IT infrastructure complies with relevant security policies, standards, and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
🎹Access Control: Manage access controls and identity management systems to ensure that only authorized personnel can access sensitive information and systems.
🎹Vendor and Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend security technologies and products. Work with vendors to implement security solutions.
🎹Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security systems, policies, and procedures. Prepare security reports for management highlighting current risks and mitigation strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications 🎵
🪇Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
🪇Professional certifications such as SANS GIAC or CISSP are music to our ears.
🪇Strong knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment, threat modeling, and incident response.
🪇Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, endpoint security (EDR/EPP), IDS/IPS, SIEM, and WAF.
🪇Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
🪇Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
🪇Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
🪇Strong communication and relational skills, able to translate complex security concepts into easy-to-understand riffs for non-technical stakeholders.
Working Conditions 🎤
🤘The role may require availability outside of standard working hours to respond to security incidents and emergencies.
🤘May involve working closely with different departments within DistroKid, and coordinating with external parties and consultants.
