Job Description
- Analyze daily revenue activities in multiple systems.
- Reconcile using various collection methods.
- Learn and apply business rules related to debt.
- Apply financial standards and rules for system controls.
- Provide assistance for routine and non-routine requests for information.
- Work with other Toll Revenue Accountants to manage the multi-state revenue exchange and fees with each state associated with the tolling activity between North Carolina and other states.
- Work with other Toll Revenue Accountants to manage credit card chargebacks, returned bank items, collections and refunds to customers.
- Use your computer skills in Integrity, SAP, Word, Excel, and banking applications.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Working experience developing complex accounting worksheets and reports.
- Considerable knowledge of government accounting methods, procedures, and financial practices.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
- Working experience using accounting judgment and theory in areas not covered by regulations/precedent.
- Working experience presenting analytical results to program administrators and negotiating changes/implementations.
- Bachelors degree in accounting, or a Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or related discipline, and 18 semester hours of accounting, and
- 2+ years of accounting/auditing experience in the preparation of interpretive/analytical accounting/financial statements and reports; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
