The Family & Community Liaison (FCL) for the Aspiranet First 5 Center is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with families and community stakeholders and for increasing center participants, with special emphasis on African American/ caregivers with children 0-5 years

The Family & Community Liaison (FCL) for the Aspiranet First 5 Center is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with families and community stakeholders and for increasing center participants, with special emphasis on African American/ caregivers with children 0-5 years

Your Skills and Duties

  • Recruit and engage families in Center services through building and strengthening relationships with community partners.  Identify potential referral sources (community partners) in the center’s catchment area.
  • Develop new and maintain existing family referral sources; provide on-site initial contact with potential participants, when indicated.
  • Provide information about Center programming and referral process to collaborative community partners.
  • Hold events, workshops, open houses at the Center as a means to increase enrollments.
  • Distribute marketing materials, class in a bag, center calendars etc. to community partners.
  • Provide on-site intake at referral agencies as required.
  • Participate in outreach events and represent the Aspiranet First 5 Center at community fairs and other events.
  • Develop, evaluate and revise family & Community Liaison plan.
  • Work with Center staff to see that new enrollments were appropriate for center services.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports for Center Director.
  • Complete administrative paperwork (time sheets, mileage, time off requests, phone bills & other expense reimbursements, weekly schedule, etc.) on time.
  • Complete record keeping and database entry; maintain client and case confidentiality per state, federal, licensing and agency standards.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and responsiveness to cultural differences maintaining perspective of cultural humility in all transactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Education and Work Experience 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing home-based and or center based services ideally with the 0-5 year old and their families.  Ideally, experience working with other community agencies.
  • Oral and written proficiency.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office: Excel; Word, Power Point; Outlook; SharePoint, Internet Explorer and experience with Customer Relationship Management Software a plus.
  • Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL and clean driving record.
