Full-Time Traineee Barista (F/T & P/T)
Job Description
Batch & CO is an ambitious new London launch, just up the road from Brixton in rapidly up & coming Streatham Hill.
The 1000 sq m site is currently being fitted out in advance of its May 2016 opening. We will be serving Caravan Daily Espresso Blend, running off a La Morzocco Linea & using a Mazzer Robur E grinder. We will also be using the estate dairy milk.

Want to be a Barista?
A part time & full time role is available with the option of turning your role into a full time one as both the company grows & your barista skills grow. You might not know much about how you make a prefect cup of coffee at the moment, but you will know how to give great customer service, love great food and drink and be enthusiastic about working in a growing business, and fun environment and we can teach you the rest.
We are looking for;
- A minimum of 6 months experience in a customer facing role, in a café or coffee shop setting or similar.
- Experience of using till systems & handing cash from customers.
- Good communication skills & ability to build rapport with an expanding customer base.
- A good old rounder who can pitch in with any ad hoc tasks, including cleaning, front of house, and preparing coffees & food.
- Have a genuine love for speciality coffee & good quality food and desire to develop your knowledge & skills further.
- Fluent English speaker
- Flexibility with shifts, and available to work at weekends.
- Can do attitude
- Good team player

We will aim to make the Coffee Shop a real hub for the community, and want everyone in the team to be part of this. Currently hours of opening 7pm to 5pm Mon-Fri, 10am to 5pm Sat/Sun.
We will provide a permanent contract, competitive salary (depending on your experience), day time only working hours & flexible shifts, min of 2 days off a week, annual leave, a thorough induction, continued on-going training and also career progression within this new & exciting company.
