Workforce Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead

Grade: 4B, £42,503 – £45,495 per annum
Working hours: 36 hours
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing date: Monday 11 September 2023 at 12.00 midday

Here at Salford Council we are passionate about workforce equality, diversity and inclusion and are looking for someone who can lead this organisational priority for us as we continue to drive forward our ambitions to be a truly inclusive organisation.

We want everyone working at the Council to feel valued, respected and able to be their true self at work so we are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference, someone who can work collaboratively to champion inclusion and deliver real outcomes.

As the Workforce EDI lead, you will be part of the Human Resources and Organisational Development Team and lead the development and implementation our Workforce Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and action plan which are focussed on embedding EDI right across the Council. You will work closely with our established employee networks and other key stakeholders identifying, co-designing and delivering tangible actions that drive forward positive change.

We are looking for someone who has strong cultural awareness and aligns with and demonstrates our organisational values. You will be able to build strong collaborative relationships with a range of different people and have demonstrable experience of delivering successful workforce equality, diversity and inclusion outcomes.
