The Role:
Support the entire organization as receptionist, the first point of contact for inbound communications and office visitors and guests. Provide administrative support services such as processing incoming and outgoing mail/shipments, data entry, filing, and other clerical duties.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as office receptionist, welcoming visitors and guests while also using security equipment and protocols.
- Answer telephone calls, assess caller needs and provide assistance or route calls to the appropriate staff person. Monitor FFRF voice mail and deliver messages to other staff as needed.
- Review website Contact Us form submissions (emails) and respond or route to appropriate staff.
- Accept delivery of packages and process daily mail, including donations and membership payments received, and route to the appropriate staff.
- Keep public areas of the lobby clean and orderly. Maintain supply of staff/volunteer sign-in sheets at the front desk.
- Occasionally give tours of Freethought Hall.
- Assist with shop order fulfillment and shipping as needed during times of high volume or the absence of the shop manager.
- Record donations from various giving platforms in NeonCRM on a regular basis. Review NeonCRM and TrueGivers daily and ensure that any errors are corrected.
- Assist the membership manager with other data entry tasks as needed to ensure the accuracy of constituents’ contact information. Process memberships, donations and occasional shop orders received via phone.
- Assist with creation of trial and new members

Qualifications:
- Administrative professional, office assistant or similar associate degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience applicable to the position or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with other staff, members and potential members, verbally and in writing
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency preferred in Google Workspace (specifically Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and/or Microsoft Office applications (specifically Word, Excel)
- Experience working in association management software (AMS) or customer relationship management software (CRM) is helpful
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
