Summary of Responsibilities
Provides leadership and strategic direction for programs that coordinate comprehensive services and case management for students who are in need of support.
Essential Functions
- Provides leadership and strategic planning through the development of long term goals and objectives that align with University vision as well as performance and service objectives.
- Serves as a resource for the campus community regarding case management services for students experiencing a broad range of issues such as, food and housing insecurity, low-level behavioral concerns, and emerging or continuing mental health concerns.
- Provides university-wide leadership on various projects and initiatives as directed by senior leadership.
- Leads the development and case management oversight of students who need assistance with various services, community resources, and basic needs.
Creates and implements trainings and initiatives that inform and educate the campus community about case management, student distress, campus and community resources. - Develops program evaluations and lead the assessment of services provided. Prepares reports, identify trends, assesses effectiveness, and progress towards goals, measures, and opportunities to improve student success. Reviews and participates in policy and procedure advocacy work that critically evaluates existing structures and systems.
- Leads team in the overall vision of the program, and ensures resources are strategically assigned to meet program goals.
Minimum Education
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years of experience in higher education, social work, case management, counseling, or related field, with two (2) years of experience in a leadership role
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to manage projects with competing deadlines, while maintaining communication regarding progress to stakeholders.
- Familiar with training and development of staff.
- Versed in student populations, students needs and/or hurdles involved in the educational process for various learners.
- Knowledge of wrap-around services and/or resources within community.
Range beginning point $61,169/yr, adjusted with experience
