Junior or Senior Tax Analyst, Compliance (Hybrid)

About the position 

Title: Junior or Senior Tax Analyst

Reports to: Senior Manager, Tax Compliance

Location:  Hybrid, flexibible work arrangements available. Looking for someone that would like to be in the office atleast once a week, and potentially more often as needed.

The Terex Tax team is a customer-focused and service-oriented group of professionals working collaboratively with Terex businesses, corporate functions, suppliers, and customers to reach agreement on requirements, create efficiencies, and cause value added change through standard work, stable processes, and innovative solutions. The Team is a group of about 30 professionals located in 7 countries.  We purposefully build our culture to provide a transparent platform upon which our team can easily see, challenge, and improve internal, cross-functional, and business processes.

 

Position Summary

The Junior or Senior Tax Analyst will support the Senior Manager, Tax Compliance and the Terex Tax and Finance teams with respect to U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and tax accounting matters as well as worldwide cash tax forecasting.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Prepare federal and state tax returns, extensions and estimate calculations;
  • Compile data in response to information requests from the IRS and state auditors;
  • Prepare annual tax depreciation reconciliations and manage fixed asset software;
  • Compile and analyze data from worldwide tax team for quarterly cash tax forecasts;
  • Research U.S. federal and state tax issues and prepare memos supporting Terex positions, and
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as requested.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Tax, or similar degree.
  • Junior Level: Recent grads are welcome to apply! Looking for someone with prior finance internship experience.
  • More Advanced Level: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in U.S. Corporate Income tax.
  • Solid work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently;
  • Detail-oriented approach that meets deadlines, and
  • High-level Microsoft Excel experience.

 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Big 4 Public Accounting experience;
  • CPA, MST, MSA, and/or MBA, and
  • Familiarity with OneSource (or similar tax software).

 

The salary range for this position is $55,000 – 75,000 USD for a junior level, and $75,000 – 115,000 USD for a more advanced level. The salary range may be higher or lower depending on the applicant’s location.
