Summary of Responsibilities
Manages, implements, and oversees a University-wide collaborative effort to ensure prompt and equitable responses, timely investigation, and resolution of complaints of equal opportunity, affirmative action laws, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, stalking, retaliation, and other sexual misconduct and gender-based discrimination.

Essential Functions

  • Manages, implements, and oversees the University’s Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and Title IX of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 compliance, education, training and investigative efforts.
  • Oversees the daily operations of staff, ensuring compliance with the University, state and federal laws, policies and regulations; manages staff work allocation, evaluations and training. Reviews investigative reports for EEO and Title IX.
  • Identifies systemic problems relating to complaints, including review and revision of the University’s sexual harassment and discrimination related policies, increased monitoring, supervision or security at locations where sexual misconduct is reported to occur, and increased education and prevention efforts across the University.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with University departments and compliance partners to support the University’s overlapping Title IX, the Violence Against Women’s Act (VAWA), and Clery Act compliance needs.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources in the development of audits and reporting systems that measure the effectiveness of the affirmative action program and conducts ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of external outreach and recruitment efforts.
  • Also collaborates with Human Resources in the preparation and implementation of the affirmative action plan, including but not limited to, the workforce availability analysis, adverse impact analysis, applicant flow, and placement goals.
  • Serves as the University’s resource on Title IX and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) state and federal regulations, state and federal anti-discrimination laws and trends as well as VAWA and Clery regulation updates.

Minimum Education
Master’s degree or post-graduate degree in related field

Minimum Experience
Four (4) years of experience in compliance or related field, with 2 years of experience in a leadership role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Manages, implements, and oversees the University’s EEO, AAP, and Title IX program.
  • Oversees the daily operations of staff, ensuring compliance with the University, state and federal laws, policies and regulations.
  • Identifies systemic problems relating to complaints, including review and revision of the University’s OIEC policies.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with University departments and compliance partners to support the University.
  • Collaborates with HR in the development of audits and reporting systems that measure the effectiveness of the affirmative action program.
  • Serves as the University’s resource on Title IX and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) state and federal regulation.

 

Range beginning point $80,000, adjusted with experience.
