ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE
Ayuda is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing direct legal, social and language access services; education and outreach to low-income immigrants in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Since 1973, Ayuda has provided critical services on a wide range of issues, in the process acquiring nationally recognized expertise in several fields including immigration law, language access, domestic violence and human trafficking. Ayuda has office locations in Washington, DC, Silver Spring, MD and Fairfax, VA.

WHAT WILL THIS LANGUAGE ACCESS COODINATOR POSITION ENTAIL?
Core Responsibilities:
· Manage interpreter database through regular monitoring, data entry, and processing requests.
· Process interpretation and translation requests
· Monitor interpreter invoices and ensure they are paid in a timely manner
· Generate invoices for paying customers of Ayuda’s interpreter banks.
· Organize and update online bookkeeping (files, applications, memoranda of understanding, and contracts).
· Solicit and evaluate feedback regarding program policies and practices from interpreters and service providers.
· Assist the Language Access Managers with completing quarterly qualitative and quantitative grant reports.
· Scheduling and planning trainings for nonprofits that need language access assistance and for interpreters learning to work in the legal and victim services fields.
· This position is eligible for a hybrid work model (between remote and in-person work). Employee must reside in DC, Maryland or Virginia.
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU CAN DO THIS LANGUAGE ACCESS COODINATOR POSITION JOB?
Eligibility: Must be legally able to work in the United States and maintain proper work authorization throughout employment. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position presented in a general office environment. Satisfactory results from a background check to include criminal history and a search of the employee’s name against a national registry of sex offenders.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Required:
· Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Experience working with data, to identify trends
Preferred:
· Shared/Lived experience with populations Ayuda serves
· Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
· Experience using:

· Google Docs and Forms
· Microsoft Office
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The anticipated salary for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 commensurate with experience.

This position is non-exempt for overtime purposes.
