Full-Time Senior Solutions Architect Manager

What We’ll Bring:

As a Senior Solutions Architect for Global Product Solutions, you’ll be strategic in architecting Neustar’s Trusted Call Solutions (TCS) portfolio by working closely with carriers and fortune 500 enterprises globally. As an individual contributor, work with a team of senior solution architects and product managers who focus on designing, developing, and integrating technology solutions for different customers. You will be working closely with internal Product Managers, Sales Engineers, Software Developers, Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Standards writing individuals. This role brings together market and competitive intelligence to shape the product features, roadmap, new services, drive adoption based on key metrics, and deliver value for carriers and enterprises. You will be thinking strategically about how to frame and execute on new initiatives that will shape products and services under Neustar’s Communications Solutions group by leveraging existing products and services (e.g. Customer Identity, Branded Contact Management, Caller Intelligence, Global Numbering Services and Inbound Authentication).

As an experienced and motivated leader, possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills, you will become the trusted customer advocate and help them understand best practices around Neustar’s solutions (On-prem and cloud computing SaaS models), and how to best manage various workloads leveraging microservices based architecture across the spectrum using serverless and container technology to auto scale critical services that span across different infrastructures.

Serve as a thought leader and collaborate towards creating products and services under Trusted Call Solutions as the market leader in their specific verticals.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s (B.S) degree in Computer Science or related field, Master’s (M.S) or MBA a plus
  • Extensive experience with building large scale, highly available, robust distributed systems.
  • Recent experience working within widely adopted cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Ability to think strategically and effectively communicate needs, priorities and a global vision in a simple, structured manner.
  • Ability to influence, communicate, and manage cross-functionally and across all levels (Including C-Levels).
  • Proven track record to create and manage strategic global vendor partnerships to accelerate product/services adoption.
  • Minimum 10+ years of system design/implementation/consulting experience with carriers and Fortune-500 enterprise supporting various network technologies for distributed real-time applications.
  • Minimum 5+ years of product management/building products and services with high availability and scalability in carrier and enterprise domain with hands-on software development experience using object-oriented design and programming.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful systems and principles of good API design. Should have proven hands-on experience in designing, building and deploying production grade, highly scalable solutions based on cloud-native micro-services architecture.
  • Participation and experience in industry standards organizations e.g. IETF/ITU-T/ATIS would be a huge plus.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, Go and commonly used frameworks like Spring boot, Spring batch, Spring Data
  • Experience with RDBMS, and NoSQL DB (MongoDB/Cassandra preferred)
  • Computer Science fundamentals in data structures (document form, JSON/YAML), problem solving, algorithm design and analysis
  • Understanding of cryptography, encryption, and PKI Digital Certificate Management (X.509)
  • Good familiarity with open-source development. Any hands-on experience with integrating open source components into projects would be an advantage.
  • Some nice to have technical skills:
  • Infrastructure: OpenStack (KVM Hypervisor, qcow2, HEAT Orchestration Template), AWS (AMI, CloudFormation), VMWare (OVA’s, ESXi Hypervisor), GCP
  • Container based deployments (Clod Native): Docker, Kubernetes
  • ELK Stack: Beats, Logstash, Elastic Search and Kibana
  • Orchestration: Ansible, Terraform
  • Messaging: Streaming with Pub/Sub architecture (Kafka, Kinesis)
  • Monitoring/Alerting: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk
  • Protocols: SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), DNS (Domain Name Service), HTTP, SSL, STIR/SHAKEN, OAUTH2 (3rd party Authentication/Authorization)

Impact You’ll Make:

  • Work with internal and customer’s senior solution architects and product managers effectively in an agile development environment and navigate deep into technical problem space.
  • In partnership with Product and Sales Management, formulate and execute strategies to exceed revenue objectives including pricing strategies based on customers.
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment.
  • Interface with customer’s key stakeholders (including C-Level) and evangelize the value proposition of Neustar’s solutions.
  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions with customers and internal product/sales teams to increase product/service awareness and knowledge across teams.
  • Work with Senior Architects and Senior Developers to design/develop/maintain stateless micro-services in various environments (Public/Private Cloud, On-premises in customer domain) using modern techniques of CI/CD
  • Contribute in improving best practices to deliver high quality solutions leveraging open source tools/toolkits and utilities with automated builds, tests and deployments
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional organizations including system architects, project managers, product managers and operations.
  • Follow Agile development methodology leveraging tools like GIT (SCM), JIRA (User Stories), SLACK (Auto Notifications/Channels), MS TEAMS
  • Participate in direct customer interactions, including travel (20-30%)
  • Take a lead role in working with Product, Technology and Sales team members for responding to RFI/RFP’s
  • Author or otherwise contribute to solution design documents for customers including other artifacts (white papers and reusable content).
