Full-Time VP, Marketing Strategy and Delivery Manager (Req#1783)

Job Description

The VP, Marketing Strategy and Delivery will be responsible for developing Eastern Bank’s marketing strategies that are aligned with our Commercial and Business Banking growth objectives and will drive incremental and profitable growth. Reporting to the SVP, Marketing Strategy & Customer Insights, this is a key role that will be responsible for shaping Eastern’s B2B go-forward marketing approach, informed by customer insights and analytics.

We are seeking a B2B marketer with experience in lead generation campaigns to help create and implement B2B omni-channel, integrated, product marketing strategies that align with strategic growth objectives.  The ideal candidate will work seamlessly with senior executives, business line leaders and will partner with our digital marketers, content creators, analytics partners and external agencies to test, learn and implement the media and marketing plans.

Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute marketing strategies across the full funnel with a focus on lead generation, new customer acquisition and deepening existing customer relationships across paid, owned, social and earned channels for Eastern’s Commercial and Business Banking business lines.

  • Responsible for output of marketing materials to support B2B lead generation campaigns including website, digital advertising, email marketing, videos, podcasts, social media, presentations, and sales enablement
  • Support and drive through to execution the development of high-quality content in the form of thought leadership, marketing and sales collateral, website and social media
  • Using innovative marketing strategies, create and execute integrated marketing plans – utilizing a diverse marketing mix of digital traditional channels
  • Work with key stakeholders with marketing and across the company including senior management, business leaders and agency partners
  • Create messaging, positioning and channel-specific marketing materials
  • Develop marketing briefs in consultation with internal stakeholders for agency partners
  • Partner with the Analytics Manager on campaign performance measurement, optimizations and test & learn planning, including cross-media tracking, marketing mix modeling and attribution modeling
  • Participate in marketing research initiatives to collect, synthesize and deliver customer and prospect insights to help shape our marketing campaigns and go-to market strategy, including development of new customer and profile segments for B2B marketing plans
  • Support market intelligence efforts – keep tabs on competitor activities to uncover opportunities for growth.  Conduct and evaluate market and industry research, collaborating with internal client to identify new potential opportunities for customer acquisition and cross-sell/upsell.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements / Skill Sets / Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies
  • Prior experience in B2B product marketing a must. Some experience in Financial Services or FinTech industries will be very helpful.
  • Proven history of building and executing integrated, holistic marketing plans and identifying market opportunities
  • Experience building / delivering a successful account-based marketing programs in a B2B environment
  • Digital marketing experience (familiarity needed)
  • Understanding current marketing and sales capabilities including marketing automation principles and content marketing in both B2B and B2C environments. Experience with Martech stack optimization and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.)
  • Exemplary leadership skills with a successful track record of influencing and driving results across a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Talented communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to C-suite executives. Extensive experience using PowerPoint to develop compelling presentations that can tell a story.
  • Demonstrated ability to think innovatively & creatively with a passion for learning to keep abreast of latest marketing trends and keeping a finger on the pulse of customer needs and preferences.
  • Deep attention to detail, well-developed organizational skills, and ability to adapt quickly to change with a high degree of independent decision making with minimal supervision.
  • Candidate should possess the quantitative acumen to infer trends, campaign performance analytics and customer insights to drive decision making.  Can structure analytical requests and has confidence with interpreting analysis. Can break down strategy into a structured testing plan / learning agenda.
  • Exceptional ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment while carrying multiple projects at any given time. Strong problem-solving skills with an excellent ability to prioritize and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience needed; MBA preferred
