Full-Time Controls Engineer
Job Description
We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Controls Engineer within our GSG/Machinery team to help support our Adjustable Bed Unit business. So, what will you be doing as a Controls Engineer?
- Collaboratively design, test, and, troubleshoot new components for new and existing machines
- Work cross-functionally amongst all Leggett brands (bedding, furniture, automotive, etc..)
- Design electrical circuits and build prototypes to prove concepts
- Program various PLC;s (i.e. Phoenix, IDEC, A-B, Mitsubishi, etc.),
- Program in IEC 61131
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting servo systems, electro-mechanical systems, and test engineering
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical departments
- Self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally, and communicate and interact effectively with customers and suppliers
- 2-3 years of Electrical Engineering experience
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally, and communicate and interact effectively with customers and suppliers
Things we consider a plus:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) preferred
