The Software Specialist I – IT is responsible for break-fix troubleshooting of applications used internally by the organization on a daily basis. The position works in a queue-based ticketing system to prioritize and resolve application issues impacting several end users throughout the organization.

What you will do to contribute to the company’s success
- Research, resolve and/or escalate issues received via Remedy, a ticket-based support requests system.
- Perform first level of support for post-deployment integration by assisting with quality assurance, testing, and maintaining internal applications.
- Research and resolve first-tier issues in regard to IT development applications by working with other departments, teams, and vendors.
- Create SharePoint resources on the intranet and public facing website.
- Create queries to assist in the troubleshooting of internal applications.
- Gather information and troubleshoot issues using resources such as SSMS, event logs, server logs, Active Directory, Microsoft Visual Studio, etc.
- Manage access to SOX and PCI controlled applications.
- Generate HTML templates for mass communication notifications to external customers.
- Perform on-call duty as assigned to support and troubleshoot application after hours.
- Other duties and/or responsibilities not specifically set forth above may, however, be assigned as needed.

Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required
- Equivalent experience can substitute for education
- 1-2 years related experience or training in basic software and help desk troubleshooting and query writing required
- 2-4 years of applied experience with SharePoint, .NET, SQL, C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, and HTML preferred
- Must be able to work on-call on nights and weekends as needed. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills required
- Must be a self-starter with sound problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be flexible and a team player
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills required
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must have proven planning and organization skills.
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
- Familiarity with creating HTML templates for business-related purposes preferred
