Senior Specialist/Vice President, Operational Risk Management – Issuer Services Line of Business

Perform wide-ranging second line of defense risk analysis, reporting and administration related to BNYM’s Operational Risk Management Framework overseeing and challenging the Issuer Services business (Corporate Trust and Depositary Receipts).
Organize the expansion and maintenance of the Issuer Services Operational Risk Management SharePoint site and lead the preparation, enhancement and distribution of standardized reports and dashboards.
Actively work with the broader Risk team to enhance the monitoring and reporting activities of the group, ensuring compliance with related policy and procedural requirements.
Assist and coordinate the preparation of presentation materials for formal governance bodies, including Business Risk Committees, Legal Entity Committees and Board meetings.
Ensure that processes are in place and are maintained to support timely follow up and execution of all relevant risk-related deliverables.
Act as a floating resource to assist with second line of defense on-going independent oversight and challenge of day-to-day operational risk management activities such as Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), risk assessments of new or modified products or significant process changes, management of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and other business or enterprise led initiatives requiring Risk Management input.
Liaise with internal clients regularly to assess impact of business initiatives, technology issues, operating environment changes, and evolving regulatory reporting requirements.
Contribute to the achievement of the Operational Risk and Issuer Services team objectives, including regulatory deliverables.
Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or equivalent education and experience in similar roles is required.
5 – 10 years of total related work experience.
Background in operational risk management preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical abilities, project management, oral and written communications skills.
Strong Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint technical skills required.
Experience covering the Corporate Trust business is a plus
