Full-Time Residential Mortgage Closing Manager
Job Description
Job Overview:
The Mortgage Closing Manager is a critical role within the BYN Mellon’s Wealth Management banking business. The incumbent is responsible for managing day-to-day prime jumbo mortgage closing operations to ensure successful pipeline management, full compliance with BNYM processes and mortgage regulations, team management and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day Closing related functions including compliance, training, entity reviews, post-closing remediation and pipeline management
- Proactive management of the mortgage pipeline to ensure all loans are being closed in a timely manner
- Actively follow up on loans that may be delayed and work through any closing or funding roadblocks
- The incumbent will:
- Work closely with management to define strategic roadmaps and drive execution
- Drive proactive identification and closure and follow ups for all compliance matters
- Own follow ups for Compliance and Audit deliverables
- Identify and drive the closure of all Operational Issues
- Ensure staff are fully trained and competent in their roles and provide the requisite management supervision daily
- Ensure all staff follow policies and procedures and complying with all regulations and processes
- Provide timely reporting and projections for senior management
- Manage entity review process
- Continually evaluate process to improve the client experience (internal and external)
- Increase Closing Team’s productivity including reducing processing turn times
Requirements:
Prior prime jumbo closing and progressive management experience are required. Encompass system experience is preferred. JD not required but preferred.
