This is an opportunity for two hard-working, honest, flexible, dependable, self-motivated people to join a successful College’s Estates department as Estates Operatives for Abingdon & Witney College for the Common Leys Farm and Witney Campus. Reporting to the Estates Supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness and security of the site and dealing with enquiries from staff, students, contractors, external customers and the general public as necessary.
Duties are likely to include but not restricted to cleaning, unlocking/ securing buildings, assisting with minor repairs and maintenance of buildings, responding to Helpdesk calls, monitoring car park usage, and providing a porterage service around the College site. You will have a good understanding of health and safety and provide efficient and effective support to the College and its users including ensuring that the security and that the general appearance of the buildings surrounding areas is maintained to the required standards.
It is essential that you are able to travel, as you may need to occasionally travel between sites. The ideal candidate will also have experience in a building trade, commercial cleaning and security of large sites.
