We are currently hiring for the position of:

 

RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE (2 POSITIONS)

 

Reporting to the Sales Manager, Visitor Experience, the Retail Sales Associates are responsible for providing excellent customer service in the TIFF Shop to drive sales and perform merchandising duties to ensure the shop is maintained and inventory is organized. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and interact with customers around the shop meet to their needs and drive sales
  • Participate in merchandise handling, receiving, pricing and organizing
  • Perform accurate transactions on POS system
  • Open and close POS, prepare daily cash float and calculate daily deposit for the Finance department
  • Review Shopify account, process online transactions, package and mail out products
  • Communicate with customer by email and phone to provide information and support
  • Set up and tear down promotional displays and pop up shop(s)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including dusting and cleaning of displays
  • Participate in the annual inventory count and conduct inventory spot checks throughout the year
  • Knowledgeable about services and programming available at the TIFF Bell Lightbox

 

RATE OF PAY:

  • $15.50 / Hourly

 

START DATE:

  • July 18, 2022

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years experience in retail and/or customer service position
  • Cash handling experience
  • Experience with Shopify and/or Givex POS considered an asset
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
  • Available to work for the duration of Festival
