Full-Time Fifth Grade Co-Teacher
Job Description
To begin in the 2022-2023 year, Atrium School seeks an experienced full-time 5th grade teacher, with particular enthusiasm and strength in the area of math and science education.
Atrium School is a progressive, inclusive PreK-8th grade independent school in Watertown, MA. Our program encourages academic and intellectual curiosity, creativity, and exploration while fostering each child’s intellectual and personal growth. Teachers in the elementary grades at Atrium work in co-teaching pairs to create innovative curriculum. We seek candidates with general strengths across the humanities and sciences, together with the capacity to integrate disciplines in meaningful project learning. Further, we seek candidates with a deep understanding of child development that will enhance a classroom where social/emotional learning, collaboration, and kindness are prized. For this position, strength in both math and science education is particularly relevant.
