As the Marketing Operations Director, you will be responsible for leading the successful development of strategy and management of digital platforms including, but not limited to, online, mobile, social, email, text, search, display, interactive, platform integration, and digital content development. You will use digital platforms to advance the Y’s cause and strategic priorities of member experience, program and staff experience, community building and philanthropy.
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL USE YOUR SKILLS FOR:
Leadership, Strategy, and Collaboration:
- Develop, prioritize, articulate, and lead the implementation of a future vision for digital space that aligns marketing technology with organizational strategic priorities, improves processes and performance, streamlines marketing communications operations, and crafts new digital business models.
- Create, direct, and implement a cohesive strategy and comprehensive calendar for digital marketing, marketing technology, content creation, and web management.
- Provide leadership and vision to develop strategy and the execution of a revenue-driven website, with accountability to results in membership enrollment, program registration, staff and volunteer recruitment, and financial development donations.
- Develop tools, provide support, document processes, and train staff to increase the competencies of internal teams and resources who interact with digital platforms.
- Establish collaborative and forward-thinking relationships with digital partners and internal departments to support the organization and its objectives.
- Manage external partners to ensure alignment with project expectations, in collaboration with finance and information technology teams.
- Foster a collaborative team environment among the marketing communications team, organizational departments, and all locations and programs.
- Contribute to and maintain a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication.
Analysis:
- Set, manage, report, evaluate, and achieve analytics benchmarks and goals.
- Assist with the creation of a budget, manage resources, and make necessary adjustments to carry out marketing communication plans.
- In collaboration with the marketing communications team, translate internal and external consumer data into actionable insights.
Marketing and Communications:
- Stay up to date on the newest trends, tools, and insights within digital marketing, serve as a marketing technology resource, and advocate across the organization to optimize plans based on these insights.
- Identify, manage, create, and publish high-quality digital content including email, video, story banks, website, and social media.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing communications team to ensure brand and voice consistency.
Supervision:
- Recruit, hire, train, and provide direct supervision, coaching, and mentorship to the digital experience team.
- Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals. Review and evaluate staff performance.
- Review, approve, and submit staff time cards to payroll department per schedule.
- Ensure staff plan for and receive professional development, and complete all mandatory training.
Financial Development and Philanthropy:
- Meet performance measurement by telling the Y story and raising charitable dollars to fulfill our mission.
- Assist staff leadership team in reaching campaign goals through recruiting campaigners, making personal asks, and supporting branch events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing, communication technology, new media or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Eight years of successful experience in full stack, multi-channel digital marketing, web design and management, analytics, and demand generation.
- Deep experience with campaign and experiential marketing that brings expert understanding of the intersection of offline and online user experiences.
- Robust knowledge of content development with an ability to collaborate with copywriters and marketing communications to elevate all forms of media, marketing, and technology.
- Proven ability to be an innovative, creative, proactive, and self-directed team player who works in a fast-paced environment and meets deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge and effective use of major social media platforms to build community engagement, multi-center ambassadorship, and (DEI)
- Experience in marketing planning, strategy and workflows, business process design, behavioral marketing, and data mining and analysis.
- Experience analyzing and using data to inform decisions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Pardot, Marketo, HubSpot, or other demand generation platforms. Preferred experience with Salesforce.
- Experience managing, budgeting, and testing all paid digital advertising, including display and search; establish partnership with digital experience team to elevate organic SEO on web assets.
- Deep understanding of demand generation, UX, and UI on app-based and other digital platforms, channels, and social networks.
- Experience with human-centered design preferred.
- Proficient in the practical application of MS Office suite, including Teams and Zoom.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills including ability to compose content, write and edit compelling stories, and provide brand stewardship on the YMCA tone of voice.
- Ability to draft statements of work, develop RFPs, scope of service, and complex business correspondence in the evaluation of new tools and systems.
- Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on the first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Starting Wage: Up to $125,000 annually – DOE
Hours: Full-Time-Exempt – 40 hours per week This is a hybrid/remote position.
