DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Corporate Counsel to join our team! This role can be based offsite, anywhere within the United States, and includes up to 25% travel.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Negotiate and draft purchase and supply agreements, support agreements, nondisclosure agreements, long term sales agreements and other commercial contracts
• Assign and manage work performed by outside counsel in a cost-effective manner
• Develop processes and procedures to improve legal support for the business units; and general business counseling.
• Responsible for handling a variety of complex legal matters or projects across a wide range of businesses, regions and/or functions.
• Recognized as a developing expert in an area of law, specialty, function or geographic region; negotiates legal matters within the individual’s realm of responsibility
• May be allocated responsibility to support in management of a relationship with a business unit, business segment, region, or function
• Responsible for project and matter management with limited supervision; exercises independent judgment
• Acts as trusted advisor for mid to high level management; has strong grasp of business environment; effectively partners with clients to identify and design needed improvements; provides legal as well as practical advice within the appropriate business context; understands and manages client expectation
• Assists in development of legal strategies for business
• May supervise and/or mentor one or more junior lawyers, paralegals or administrative assistants
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• A law Degree
• Experience practicing in a commercial law space
• License to practice law in your home jurisdiction, US state
• Minimum of 7 years experience as legal counsel including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, as well as providing day to day general counseling and advise to members of the organization in a similar role within a similar company
• Experience guiding and mentoring contract administrators and junior attorneys through advising, teaching, and coaching
• Experience identifying risks for the organization and ways to mitigate them
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Annual Compensation Range: $124,000-$187,000
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
