Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Designs, improves, and installs integrated manufacturing or administrative systems which use people, materials, information, equipment, and energy.
• Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
• Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
• Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
• Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Skills

• Ergonomic Fundamentals – Understands ergonomic concepts by applying Cummins ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls and tools to reduce ergonomic risk to employees while at work.
• Line Balancing – Evaluates work activities performed by individuals or machines to identify opportunities to optimize operating time and distributing of the work content to meet the changes in customer demands while continuing to optimize manufacturing processes.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
• College, university, or equivalent degree required.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
• Intermediate level relevant work experience required.
