The summer internship with the Internal Audit team is the first step in starting your career as an Auditor. This internship offers the opportunity to build enduring relationships with members of the Internal Audit department. This amazing team of professionals is ready to partner with you in making your internship a meaningful experience.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
In this internship role, you will be working to help organize and execute audits that support Invitation Homes’ goals and objectives. Specifically, you will be working closely with others on the Internal Audit team as we:
- Test controls in assessing compliance to the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002
- Conduct operational reviews across the markets in which Invitation Homes operates
- Track management action plans from prior audits to verify they are effectively implemented
- Ensure workpapers and reports are completed timely, logically, and organized in a manner to support conclusions
- Perform other special projects that arise from Internal Audit’s partnership with the business

Qualifications/Requirements
- Rising Senior pursuing bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited university in Audit or related field
- High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability; specifically, the ability to work as self-starter
- Desire to grow professionally and collaborate with others
- Ability to prioritize/execute to achieve desired company and project goals with prudence and sense of urgency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Desire to work in Dallas, Texas
