We are looking for a talented Manager Government Contracts & Subcontracts to join our team specializing in Finance for our Corporate Business Unit which is located in Columbus, IN. The role is considered hybrid, and may work from a remote home office location.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Review contractual terms and conditions for acceptability; assessing risk and impact to the proposal utilizing Company resources (including Legal, Operations, Finance and Government Compliance, as necessary); providing alternate terms and conditions to customer. Evaluates business processes to identify risks and internal control gaps; applies understanding of business processes and relevant risks to develop and implement process improvements; develops risk management plans by applying internal control framework to address identified risks.
• Negotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with customers and/or partners; working with Legal, Sales, Finance, and other functions to structure contracts.
• Conducting contract negotiation and management of contracts and grants with various Government entities.
• Closing out contracts in accordance with applicable procedures at the conclusion of all activity.
• Government Regulations – Interprets and applies Government regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk on Government Contracts.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent degree required.
• 5-7 years of previous professional business experience working with government contracts, assessments and negotiations of.
• Proven record of working with government entities in contract management.
• Master of working cross-functionally with internal senior leaders.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
