Description:
As an HR Generalist, you will perform HR-related duties on a professional level and work closely with the Senior Director of HR in supporting all EOS employees. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance in multiple states.
Responsibilities:
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Assist with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects.
- Supports recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program; and writes and places advertisements.
- Supports separation processes including employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
- Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory. Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas. Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
Desired Skillsets & Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant certifications – PHR, SPHR, or SHRM preferred.
- Between five to seven years of experience as an HR Generalist preferred.
- Experience with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) program implementation.
- Experience with Organizational Learning & Development preferred.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws. Experience working with multi-state preferred.
- Experience in a startup or other environment with rapid growth and/or change would be an advantage.
