Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Principal Data Scientist to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Corporate Office in Columbus, IN/ your remote home office (Hybrid).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Manages and Implements advanced analytics projects which solve complex analytical problems using quantitative approaches through a combination of analytical, mathematical, and technical skills
• Researches, designs, implements, and validates cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes by leveraging complex statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering, and classification techniques
• Leads advanced analytics efforts and partners with adjacent workgroups to deliver key business outcomes
• Manages and develops a small team of agile developers
• Participates in management and prioritization of development backlog
• Leads continuous improvement activities for responsible area
• Shares progress and opportunities at various levels of the organization
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience in relevant technical discipline is required
• 5 or more years of experience in experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of analyzing complex business systems and large data sets.
• Background in designing and implementing integrated advanced analytics solutions using open source and third-party tools
• Experience with Python, R, SQL query languages, and cloud services environments or equivalents
• Experience in Agile development
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
