Job Description

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an authentic and proactive European Payroll Supervisor who will lead a team of Payroll Analysts, ensuring that payroll is prepared according to internal processes, payments are calculated and paid accurately and timely, that proper taxes and other deductions are withheld by keeping agreed service levels with a high level of customer satisfaction.

This position is part of our corporate Cummins Business Services business unit, based in Gross Gerau.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Provide supervision to payroll team including assigning work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs, assess performance and provide feedback to direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls on payroll systems and compliance with tax and other payroll related legislation.
• Manage continuous improvement projects and initiatives, support the development and maintenance of payroll process documentation.
• Oversee payroll processing activities for specific payroll groups including the preparation, processing and balancing of payroll, ensure the completeness of information from data interfaces and manual data sources
• Support payroll processing activities utilizing internal or external payroll technologies. Administer and reviews allowances and withholdings, taxes and other income and deductions.
• Review the issuance of checks, preparation of off-cycle or replacement checks, and maintenance of payroll system information, review the information prepared for general ledger entries and other accounting and financial reporting activities associated with payroll.
• Manage the review and preparation of data necessary for the filing of payroll-related tax returns and miscellaneous withholding forms, ensures generation of year-end reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Previous experience in payroll area and leading a small team with exposure to diverse environment is required.
• Fluent German with very good English language skills.
• Knowledge of German payroll legislation is essential.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and payroll systems.
