Full-Time Test and Controls Engineer – Senior

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Test & Controls Engineer- Senior to join our team! This role is 100% onsite in Fridley, Minnesota.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Develops all aspects of control systems, equipment, and machinery.

* Develops and designs control systems; develops and implements bench tests; alters software and equipment to ensure that sensors and actuators are functioning according to specifications; supports and debugs complex problems and change requests.

* Prepares cost estimates; compiles required cost and equipment information, and writes and reviews appropriation requests.

* Investigates problems and requirements of projects, and develops plans for solutions in line with economic, personnel, and environmental considerations.

* Could  be responsible for the installation and technical support of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based hardware and software.

* Coaches and mentors less experienced Controls Engineers.

 

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* College, university, or equivalent to Bachelors’ Degree

* Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

* Requires cross functional knowledge of product engineering, quality, manufacturing engineering, safety, and facilities.

* Implement capital and tactical improvement projects to support test cell upgrades and production lines.

* Support Request for Quotes (RFQs), working with key stake holders collaboratively.

* Implementation of Industrial 4.0, Cobot, Scada and Automation Solutions.

* Analyzes test results / machine downtime scenarios to provide recommendation and guidance for root cause.

* Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies.

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
