DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Electrical Controls Engineer Lead to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Electronics and Fuel Systems in Fridley, Minnesota.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Manage local team and associated local projects and Lane 1 tasks executed at the Fridley site. Have direct reports – either contractors or CMI employees, or a mix of both. Technical project lead for projects lead out of US.
• Subject Matter Expert for generator and ATS control systems and systems engineering to guide the team in their tasks
• Applies and improves electronic application and systems development processes and tools. Processes include system specification, modelling and simulation, calibration, Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), and troubleshooting. Tools include Simulink, calibration tools, and PTC Integrity
• Interface with internal CE and external teams to ensure successful task completion. Interface with PSE team customers to understand project requirements. Interface with global leaders and assist with project planning and execution strategies
• Communicate status of local US projects to high management, perform associated escalation, risk management and executed mitigation strategies
• Makes decisions in the areas of electronic systems design, requirements, calibration, and test that impact the quality and performance of calibrated subsystems and feature classes of electronic subsystems.
• Own and manage budget for Lane 1 and CE owned controls, ensure projects are executed within allocated budgets and efficient utilization of funds.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines. Degree in Electrical engineering or Industrial Controls is HIGHLY preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of on the job experience including some level of leadership/management.
• On the job experience in Industrial Controls and demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
• Proven ability and experience in Project Management.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
