Full-Time Memphis Aftermarket Operations & 3PL Leader

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Aftermarket Operations and 3PL Leader to join our Memphis team with site leadership responsibility for the Memphis Distribution Center team as well as overall responsibility for all Memphis based aftermarket sites. This role is based in Memphis, Tennessee.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Direct, manage, and lead a cross-functional team to ensure speed, dependability, and efficiency in Parts Distribution Center operations or warehouse, providing excellent product availability and service to CMI Distributors and Aftermarket customers, and/or internal Cummins stakeholders.

* Have multi-site leadership of all Memphis Aftermarket Sites including the Memphis Distribution Center (MDC), Reverse Logistics Core Center (RLCC), and the Value-Added Services Third Party Logistics (3PL) Site.

* Responsible for ensuring Cummins values are present in site employee/labor relations, community involvement, diversity, health, safety, and environmental practices, including fostering the right environment in the areas of safety, ethical behavior and financial compliance standards.

* Manage and develop supply chain capability; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.

* Mentor and coach individual and collective talent to develop supply chain capability across the organization.

* Be part of the North America Regional Operation Team (ROT) Integrated Logistics Leadership Team.

* Be a key leader in the Memphis community supporting Cummins overall Right Environment and CARE initiatives.

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* Bachelor’s degree.

* Minimum of 10 to 15 years in a similar role in a global matrix organization.

* Expertise in warehouse operations, process, and optimization.

* Excellent leadership skills and the ability to effectively lead cross functional teams.

* Prior experience in supply chain, aftermarket, or materials management in a manufacturing environment.

* Experience with 3PLs an asset.

* Optimizes work processes – Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

* Manages complexity – Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

* Drives results – Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.

* Customer focus – Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.

* Communicates effectively – Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

* Collaborates – Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

* Builds effective teams – Building strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
