Clark College is currently accepting applications for part-time Junior Clinic/Lab Instructor. This position begins September 20, 2021.

Position Responsibilities

Instruct in restorative lab techniques courses.

Integrate clinical and didactic education.

Assess student learning as a part of the dental hygiene program’s and Clark College’s outcomes and assessment processes.

Assess student learning in the clinic and/or lab settings.

Coordinate clinical policies and procedures and evaluate outcome effectiveness.

Maintain current knowledge of the practice of restorative dentistry.

Demonstrate experience using various educational methodologies.

Know and adhere to college and program policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

General Faculty Responsibilities

Instruct classes utilizing active learning techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.

Advise and assist students in educational and career development.

Pursue professional development to stay current in field.

Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.

Engage in continuous departmental program review, enhancement, and outcomes assessment.

Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College.

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in dental Hygiene or related area (public health, education, etc.) from an accredited institution. Applicants that are within one (1) year of degree completion will be considered.

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a restorative dental hygienist.

Current Washington State Dental Hygiene license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.

Current First Aid and Healthcare Provider CPR certifications or the ability to obtain.

Knowledge and experience with computers and paperless management systems in the clinical setting.

Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.

 

Salary Statement: Lab hourly rate is $63.99
