Full-Time People Operations Associate
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the effectiveness of our hiring, onboarding and offboarding processes, and continually improve them using human-centered and evidence-based approaches
- Partner with hiring managers to conduct hiring processes to ensure the continued recruitment of world-class team members
- Identify, build, and sustain community partnerships, for example with HBCUs and HSIs, to ensure the diversity of our top of funnel applicant pool, and perpetuate a community culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging
- Support hiring managers to organize onboarding experiences to welcome new team members and quickly enable them to become effective contributors
- Support managers in executing offboarding process when resignations or terminations occur
- Experiment with different initiatives that drive engagement, promote employee recognition and keep us on track to become a Great Place to Work®!
- Partner with People Operations Manager and Director of Business Operations to continue promoting and strengthening our core values and culture across the organization
- Facilitate and innovate on team-wide programs and processes to cultivate employee learning and growth
- Assist in the creation of our DEIB strategy and metrics, assessing its effectiveness at creating an equitable and inclusive work environment for all where we are continually challenged and grow.
- Serve as a go-to resource for questions and feedback from the team related to our people operations
- Serve as a liaison with our HR vendors to manage core, day-to-day people operations activities, such as applicant tracking systems, recognition and compliance.
- Assist with our corporate immigration program
- Maintain and continually seek opportunities to enhance and/or add to our people operations-related tools and services
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 1+ years of demonstrated success in a people operations role (e.g., hiring, onboarding, learning and development, and/or operations)
- Dedication to driving diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Sound judgment, integrity and professionalism in working with confidential and sensitive information
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with G Suite (i.e., Drive, Docs, Slides) and Slack
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated passion for the impact space and our organizational mission
- Capability to operate in fast-paced startup environment, using critical thinking and resourcefulness to effectively and enthusiastically solve important problems
- Ability to effectively partner and build trust with all levels of employees and with key external stakeholders
- 3+ years of demonstrated success in a people operations role
- Specific experience in hiring and onboarding as part of a rapidly scaling organization
- Degree and/or certification in people operations, business administration, or a related field
- Prior experience working with start-ups, or in a start-up environment
- Demonstrated success implementing evidence-based and human-centered people operations principles and practices to drive employee engagement and effectiveness
- Ability to continuously iterate on evolving processes and programs in a lean, evidence-driven manner
