Responsible for creating data reports, writing press releases and engaging in media outreach. Accountable for leading efforts in data and marketing analytics and translating analyses to i mprove media relations and stakeholder engagement nationally. This position is plays a critical role in fostering positive media relations and establishing credibility with Black Knight customers, stakeholders, colleagues, and internal colleagues. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for both internal and external strategies and communications, including employee communications, press releases, and investor/shareholder communications.
- Oversees the development of public facing data reports and leverages advanced marketing analytics to strategize impactful public relations activities.
- Interprets advanced mortgage market and housing industry data analytics and translates data to socialize and communicate with external stakeholders, customers, and media.
- Develops broad and deep relationships with various media and business outlets to increase visibility and awareness of Black Knight brand.
- Develops and implements plans to emphasize brand awareness and enhance communications with media including the development of advanced thought leadership pieces.
- Conducts media training of executives and others; provides ongoing coaching for external media opportunities.
- Delivers and provides information to a wide variety of audiences regardless of topic and effectively deals with issues that are confidential and sensitive in nature.
- Partners with senior management to author thought provoking leadership articles.
- Effectively identifies, leads, and prioritizes multiple, high-priority projects, initiatives, and stakeholders that are guided by organizational strategies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications; or the equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Advanced degree (e.g., M.S. degree) desirable but not required. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Minimum of 10+ years of related experience in the PR industry and a minimum of 3+ years managerial experience
- Exceptional knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of public relations
- Strong knowledge of financial services data
- Advanced skill in data interpretation and translation of data to public
- Understanding and working knowledge of finance, mortgage and/or real estate and economic data
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within Black Knight or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)
- Ability to adapt approach and deliverables in according to new circumstances
- Competency and understanding of the Mortgage industry is preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, media and general public
- Advanced writing skills and ability to develop thought leadership articles to present to senior management
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong understanding of AP (Associated Press) style
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Advanced knowledge and relationship building with a variety of media outlets
Public Relations Consultant III Advanced level role. Mentors staff. Establishes strategic plans and objectives for the department while ensuring the department meets its objectives. Works on multiple, complex projects as a project leader and subject matter expert. May develop budget and ensure department objectives are met. Frequently interacts with executives, management and clients. Typically requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a public relations role with extensive experience leading projects. Prior experience in the mortgage industry is preferred. Experience with proactive media outreach and leveraging media relationships with various outlets on a national level. Although target pay range may vary by work location, a representative pay range for Colorado residents is: $63,910 – $87,880.
