We are looking for a talented Senior Technology Advisor – AUTOSAR Base Software Architect to join our team specializing in technology architecture for Cummins Electronics and Fuel Systems (CFES) in your remote home office.

CSAR is the implementation of AUTOSAR within Cummins. These platforms will be used in electronics across all business product lines of Cummins.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Will direct the overall architecture and technology development of Cummins’ electronic systems platform, subsystems, and components at as it pertains to the Base Software and common aspects of the CSAR platforms.
• Will advise on setting key strategic approaches to the software development to ensure Cummins’ various product lines are supported in a timely and efficient manner.
• This will involve resolving complex problems across functional areas within the overall electronics system within the BSW as well as interfaces to components owned by the electronics organization above the RTE. Since the architecture impacts areas both within the electronics area and outside the electronics area, this role will have influence within and outside of the electronics area.
• Obtains input and negotiates with product teams and delivers technical direction and leadership to all employees developing electronic systems.
• Leads interaction between software, calibration, tool development areas to maximize organizational technical quality, productivity and performance.
• Directly leads the addressing of complex technical global challenges associated with Base Software support for CSAR programs supporting all the global programs; therefore, development of capable global architects in all regions will be critical to this role.
• Coaches and mentors the future technical leaders across a global business unit.
• Operates as the recognized AUTOSAR expert across a global business unit with the responsibility of developing talent (direct or indirect) across the area of influence.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Demonstrated leadership ability in an AUTOSAR Technical Advisor/Leader role with a range of varying business scenarios and/or lifecycles.
• Experience gathering input and negotiating with multiple technology delivery partners and product teams while setting the direction for the CSAR architecture as it pertains to the Base Software and common aspects of CSAR.
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions regarding design architecture, implementation and test through training of other architects and developers by creating improved processes for software architecture and development.
• Experience advising on processes to maximize the effective use of the software development tools and train the organization to grow the capability of the global organization.
• Product Platform Development – Integrates all of the market and key customer needs of a given product platform into a comprehensive and holistic development plan; verifies platform capability for all planned and approved architectural variants within the boundaries of market use rather than the boundaries of any single customer within the target usage markets.

Education/Experience
• College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
