We are looking for a highly motivated Windows Systems Engineer to join our team!

 

The successful candidate will have solid experience in Windows build automation, application packaging, and Windows server and desktop hardware. As a member of the instrument computing team, you will own the Windows build and deployment process while ensuring strict compliance to our product specs. This position is full-time based in Newark, California.

 

How You’ll Contribute

  • Build, configure, and deploy Windows hardware, OS, and applications based on product specs and to ensure high level of compliance.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop application packaging and validation procedures.
  • Automate deployment and configuration changes for scalability and reproducibility.
  • Troubleshoot and repair OS, driver, and hardware issues on instrument computers.
  • Serve as the Windows SME in escalations from field engineers.
  • Create detailed technical documentation for build and deployment procedures.

 

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing Windows 10 systems and applications.
  • Hands-on experience with server and desktop hardware and components.
  • Broad experience with application packaging and OS imaging tools and solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows networking, firewall, security, and SMB protocol.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or another scripting language for Windows automation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
