Salary: $12.00 -14.50 per hour
The Oshkosh Public Museum is searching for a Part-Time Visitor Services Associate.
The Visitor Services Associate is responsible for providing friendly customer service to visitors, assisting with Museum Store sales, and supporting the staff at the Oshkosh Public Museum (OPM). As the first point of contact, Visitor Services staff maintain excellent customer service and professionalism while creating a welcoming environment for the public.
Duties may include:
- Greeting and welcoming visitors in a friendly and courteous manner while assisting with purchasing museum admission, store merchandise, museum memberships, and in other interactions.
- Assisting staff in handling customer service and visitor issues.
- Contributing to the overall success of the Museum Store through suggestive selling and membership sales.
- Operating a point of sale system to conduct sales, monitor inventory, and produce reports.
- Providing staff support by assisting with opening and closing procedures, performing light maintenance and cleaning, and setting up/tearing down for programs.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and preferably have at least one year of related customer service experience.
