Part-Time Transport Agent
Job Description
Job Summary: The Transport Agent is responsible for transporting Marijuana and/or Marijuana Products between all Bud & Mary’s (B&M) facilities in the state of Massachusetts, between Massachusetts businesses who will contract us as third party transportation, as well as cannabis home deliveries directly to customers. This job requires the candidate to hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record. The candidate must also pass a background check. In this industry, compliance to state regulation and optimal customer service will set up our organization for long lasting success. This position directly reports to the Delivery Manager of B&M.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a friendly, courteous and compassionate demeanor at all times.
- Adhering to the company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.
- Following and upholding company SOPs relative to transporting Marijuana and Marijuana Products, including receiving required documentation and following all special delivery instructions.
- Abiding by all rules and regulations set forth by Cannabis Control Commission regulation 935 CMR 500.
- Loading, transporting, unloading and delivering items between company facilities in a safe and timely manner.
- Surveilling your partner when they are out of the vehicle to deliver the product.
- Reviewing manifests before and after delivery to ensure that items being transported are correct and not missing.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Ensuring vehicles never cross over Massachusettts borders by actively engaging with the GPS route and your partner.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Following safety standards & adhering to B&M Security Policies and Procedures
- Preparing reports and other documents or logs relating to deliveries.
- Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Efficiently communicating with dispatch to manage routes for driving.
- Performing a pre/post trip inspection on B&M delivery vehicles to maintain upkeep standards.
- Ensuring vehicles have a valid inspection sticker and registration paperwork is up to date.
- Bringing vehicles to repair locations when maintenance issues arise such as brake jobs, new tires, oil changes, windshield wiper blades, inspections, etc.
- Maintaining B&M vehicles to operational standards (i.e. vacuuming, washing and other incidentals).
- Maintaining fuel levels and filling up the gas tank at the end of each shift
- Must be able to work with navigation software, smartphones and other hand-held electronic equipment.
- All other job duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor or associate degree in a related field – preferred but not required
- Additional equipment operation licenses a plus – preferred but not required
- Experience in transporting/delivery preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain proper badging as required by the state of MA
- Must be able to lift, pull, push, and/or carry up to 50 lbs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to walk, stand, and drive for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to pass a drug screen (Required; THC is not a disqualifier)
