This position will introduce the candidate to the secondary marketing sector of the mortgage origination industry. Responsible for working under the direction of the Operations Team Manager in confirming MBS trade transactions and balancing client MBS trade positions. Also responsible for helping support Optimal Blue’s Resitrader loan trading platform and performing other reporting and data extraction duties. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Ensure accuracy of MBS trades executed by the Optimal Blue Analyst Team on behalf of clients.
- Reconcile Optimal Blue system trade positions with records of client broker/dealers.
- Address any discrepancies with traders and counterparties.
- Ensure accurate and timely data and trade flow through Resitrader platform.
- Manage Resitrader account profiles and access.
- Assist with business/pricing projects.
- May be responsible for other miscellaneous research projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or other related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Ability to learn and comprehend the mortgage origination process, mortgage securities and markets through on-the-job training.
- Strong quantitative skills with solid grounding in basic mathematical and statistical concepts.
- Experience with Excel and/or SQL a definite plus.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within Black Knight (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors) as well as outside the organization.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills.
- Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external customers and contacts.
Mortgage Pricing Analyst I Entry-level professional role into the job family. Works under immediate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment. Responsible for providing rates and pricing along with distributing daily reports and completing lock and pricing review requests. Respond to lock desk inquires and perform required activities to support services relating to Secondary Marketing activities, such as investor relations, product development and follow up with IT to implement necessary updates to the internal pricing engine. Typically requires up to three (3) years of relevant work experience. Experience in mortgage capital markets/secondary marketing is a plus. Target pay range: $26 – 28/hour.
