SALARY: $28,837-$41,268

Duties and Responsibilities
The Technology Support Specialist is directly accountable to the Technology Service Delivery Manager for the following duties and responsibilities.
The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carryout its mission.
The Technology Support Specialist assists the user community with any questions or problems utilizing campus technology resources.
- Provide technical assistance and support for questions and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Install, modify, and repair information technology hardware and software.
- Act as the first line of defense against potential security issues.
- Maintain technology inventory records and technical documentation.
- Assume responsibility for ensuring customer issues are properly resolved in a timely manner.
- As a part of the college’s risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer.

Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in computer configuration and installations.
- Quantifiable experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
- A+, Network+, MCP, MCSE, and/or similar certifications desired.
- Knowledge of network operations, procedures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
- Knowledge of computers and software.
- Ability to process information logically and solve problems.
- Ability to monitor and resolve problems.
- Ability to identify and define user hardware/software needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds.
