JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION
Responsible for gathering data from multiple sources to create management reports, analytics, metrics and application dashboards. Collaborates with business partners, clients and customers to determine data requirements and develop reports. Ensures all data is accurately conveyed in an appropriate format.

GENERAL DUTIES & ; RESPONSIBILITIES
* Creates/designs and runs reports using PC platforms or report writing tools based on end-user needs.
* Incorporates end user requests and requirements to develop an enterprise reporting solution.
* Identifies appropriate metrics on which to report and utilizes software to generate metrics and develop actionable recommendations.
* Mines information from databases in a variety of formats such as XML, TXT, CVS, etc.
* Provides support to research team or management by collecting and analyzing data, and reporting results.
* Interfaces with raw data sources and front-end reporting services using table linking, embedding, import/export and file conversion techniques.
* Collaborates with various functional teams such as Marketing and Information Technology to achieve business results.
* Produces and distributes reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
* May train end-users on report writing.
* Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline or equivalent work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Knowledge of SQL programming and be proficient in data extraction and reporting techniques
* Experience with MS Excel and Access
* Mortgage Originations experience is preferred
* MISMO experience is strongly desired
* Ability to conduct field mapping
* Experience with SQL Extracts and ETL functions
* Strong report writing skills are required
* Tableau is a plus
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple assignments with little direction
* Ability to determine own priorities and work independently
* Ability to convey technical knowledge to others

Technical Report Writer II
Intermediate professional level role. Requires knowledge of and the ability to perform data extraction and reporting techniques and in the use of database and report-writing tools and platforms. Designs, develops and supports database reports of medium to high complexity within a broad technical and/or business context of significant or strategic impact. Works on medium to large, varied, and complex IT projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more IT projects concurrently as a project team member or occasionally as a project lead. May coach and/or mentor more junior technical staff. Typically requires five (5) or more years of related work experience in DBMS support and/or analysis, software application development, or report writing using appropriate tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Crystal Reports, etc.) and at least one (1) o r more years of work experience designing and creating complex database reports.
