Chief People Office Community

The Chief People Office (CPO) is responsible for the effective and efficient running of HR in HMRC. The CPO has overall accountability for delivering our people priorities in HMRC; is accountable for HMRC’s role as a responsible corporate organisation; and for the governance and delivery of HMRC’s learning and talent activities.

Your role fits within the Recruitment Marketing and Attraction team in CPO HR Operations, and requires a keen, creative eye and an ability to develop effective recruitment attraction and marketing strategies You will have line management responsibility for a small team of ‘Content Designers’.

The key responsibilities of your role include, but are not limited to:
• You will lead the development of a range of helpful and informative content to be used for recruitment advertising/branding purposes, across various online job-boards and careers/social media platforms including: GOV.UK, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, in order to achieve specific objectives as part of our wider talent attraction strategy;
• A confident communicator, you will take an enthusiastic and collaborative approach to building HMRC’s employer brand in the recruitment market; developing a strong brand reputation through targeted content development and leading the attraction elements of volume and business-as-usual recruitment campaigns;
• You will work as part of a collaborative, senior team improving candidate experience from the point of attraction, through to recruitment, selection, and on-boarding;
• Working as part of a senior team you will be involved in the development of key attraction channels, enhancing the attraction and retention of high calibre, diverse talent that are a strong match for HMRC Customer Group resourcing needs, taking labour market and candidate insights into consideration;
• You will use modern methods to evaluate all talent attraction and marketing activity, to inform the development of effective strategies, measure quality of hire and demonstrate return on investment.
· You will manage a small team of Officers and Higher Officers engaged in delivering recruitment marketing and attraction services.

Essential Criteria

• Able to demonstrate relevant experience in the key responsibilities for this role;
• Deep understanding of how marketing analytics inform the success/failure of advertised campaigns;
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal, with current knowledge of social media technologies;
• Experience of working with multiple teams and running multiple assignments/projects at pace.
• Acute attention to detail, with excellent time management and project skills.

Desirable Criteria.

• No formal qualifications are required but it would be an advantage to have project management/CIPD or marketing qualifications.
