Full-Time System Performance Engineer – 2200019R
Job Description
We are looking for a talented System Performance Engineer to join our exciting Pickup platform team based in Columbus, IN / your remote home office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Work on new and current product systems for our pickup truck engine platform to optimize system performance. This includes, but not limited to, engine performance and fuel economy optimization, hardware selection, diagnostic and feature optimization, tailpipe emission optimization, and incident resolution.
• Providing independent leadership of smaller business impact projects or ownership of complex components, products, systems, or services with greater elements of ambiguity over the senior or lead engineer level and with full accountability to the project team.
• Delivering technical information, guidance, and recommendations to support and/or make project decisions
• Will conduct on site engine testing, chassis dyno, test cell and simulation testing and analyze data to present to stakeholders
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Engineering College/University degree required. Mechanical Engineering degree HIGHLY preferred as well as some industry experience.Experience with test cells, data acquisition, and instrumentation devices preferred.
• Experience with test cells, data acquisition, and instrumentation devices preferred.
• Experience with different data processing tools for large data sets (Matlab, Excel, or similar).
• Experience in communicating and presenting technical content with external customers preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
