Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Unit in Rocky Mount, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
* Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
* Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the Cummins standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
* Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
* Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
* Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.
* Maintains relationships and coaches key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Bachelors or Master’s degree
* Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience; leadership preferred
* Ability to perform data investigation and analysis; control carts, process capability, time studies
* Utilize Microsoft office tools; excel and PowerPoint
* Find and Interpret Prints – Capable of advanced blueprint reading with GD&T knowledge
* Understanding of engineering standards (NEBS, torque specifications, visual inspection standards) required.
* Experience with 5 why, PFMEA, DOE, CPK & KPI’s
* 6 Sigma training a plus
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
